Lumenis OptiLIGHT IPL

Lumenis OptiLIGHT IPL

Lumenis invented the first and only technology to treat individuals for dry eye disease caused by MGD. It is the only Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved IPL for the treatment of dry eye and is also patented. Optimal Pulse Technology (OPT) makes it easier to successfully manage this particular eye disease. Overall, OptiLight is safe, precise, comfortable, and effective.

Radiofrequency (RF)

Radiofrequency (RF)

This treatment uses a radiofrequency that gently and safely heats the skin for a specific amount of time. The body naturally reacts by producing new collagen. Because the new fibers are tighter and denser, they fill in voids in the form of lines, wrinkles, and cellulite. It also diminishes bagginess associated with dry eye disease from MGD.

Lumenis OptiLIFT RF

Lumenis OptiLIFT RF

Powered by Lumenis' proprietary non-invasive technology, OptiLIFT tones and stimulates the muscles under the eye (periorbital muscles) to address lower eyelid function and provide a tighter look.

Tixel-i

Tixel-i

We are the first and only practice practice to have Tixel-i in the entire region. Tixel-i is designed to treat dry eye disease related to MGD. The treatment applies precise thermal energy externally to the upper and lower eyelids. This heat helps support healthier meibomian gland function, improve oil flow, and stabilize the tear film.

Amniotic Membrane

Amniotic Membrane

Amniotic membranes are derived from the innermost layer of the placenta and are carefully processed for medical use. Amniotic membranes are used to support regeneration of the corneal surface.

Meibography

Meibography

Meibomian gland photography is a diagnostic technique that allows eye doctors to assess the structure and function of the meibomian glands. By evaluating the health of these glands, we can then develop targeted treatment strategies to address MGD and improve dry eye symptoms.

Topography

Topography

Topography refers to corneal imaging performed with a diagnostic device designed to capture detailed curvature measurements of the cornea. Using advanced Placido disc technology, the system projects illuminated rings onto the cornea and analyzes their reflections. From this data, it generates a color-coded map that reveals the shape, elevation, and curvature of the cornea with exceptional accuracy.

Tear Film Analysis

Tear Film Analysis

The tear film is assessed using white or infrared illumination. Our state of the art instrument measures the meniscus of the tear film, and analyses the lipid layer and all the tear film dynamics.

Thermal Gland Expression

Thermal Gland Expression

Thermal gland expression works by applying a controlled amount of heat to the meibomian glands, which are located along the eyelid margin. The device used in the treatment emits a consistent and gentle heat, which effectively melts the hardened oils in the glands. This allows the oils to flow more easily and helps to improve the quality of tears. The treatment is painless and non-invasive, making it a comfortable and convenient option for those suffering from dry eye.
